I drove across the country and rehomed my 3 axies with my best friend and she's been having issues keeping the parameters in check. I don't know how long the pH was below 6.0 but we eventually fixed the parameters and now a week later, tank is cycled, clean, and parameters back in check. I had them for almost 3 years and never had any issues like this. All three of their gills/filaments are turning into red, stringy things. I honestly don't know how to word it to try to research what's going on so I'm hoping some of you may be able to shed some light?
They eat every other day, are actively moving/swimming, and aren't lethargic at all. Sand substrate, the same as I raised then with. Driftwood and anubias plants the same.
