Hello! I’m really excited to finally get an a ccount for this site! Even though I’ve never had an account, I frequently use this site for questions that I might have, for care, and breeding questions! Speaking of care and breeding I own quite a lot of animals; I have a yellow tiger crested gecko (Nibs), a fire skink (Skink), a GFP wild type axolotl (Pedro), a cane toad (Paddock), a grey tree frog (Maddison) that I intend on breeding, a striped tangerine leopard gecko (Stubby), a Dubia Roach colony and a Hissing cockroach colony... yes I keep roaches as pets:tongue:. I am also looking for a pair of fire salamanders for my collection. Though from the animals that I keep it might look like I’m not that much of a salamander enthusiast that couldn’t be farther than the truth, salamanders are by far my favorite type of amphibian whether their Tiger salamanders or spotted salamanders, red efts or marbled newts. I’ve always had an effenity towards them, although I’ve searched and search but they are still VARY rare in my area. So that’s me

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
