Do you ever have any issues with that little guy? They're all so beautiful I really hope my guys gills grow to be that pretty!

No issues with the little one. He's usually around all of them but I removed the one on the far right (female) after having her babies she's been in her own tank. The 3 large ones on the 2nd photo are about 2 years I think I picked them up from someone who was getting rid of them in June or so. The little one is about a 10months maybe, got him around same time. And thank you!

The middle one in this photo, is the Lil guy from the first pic. Far right is another axie I have.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
