Dried shrimp

I've been feeding my axie with those small dried shrimps (gammarus) and he seems to like it. Would this be enough for him in terms of vitamins, or should I try to give him something else?
Thanks!

Hi Gabriela. Please always try and maintain some variety then you can be reasonably sure that your axies get all the nutrients they need. Check out some of the more recent threads we have had many discussions on what constitutes a good diet. You'll find loads of good advice and suggestions.

Thanks Mikki!

I'll try some new things for him, check out what he likes eating more!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
