Do you have any advice for salte baths? I have a tank with 3 6 inch juveniles. 2 albino and 1 wild type. 29 gallons. The wild type has a damaged gill and has trouble floating without tilting, and also stays at the top of tank all day. Should i sath bath all three? Or just the sick one?

You only need to do a salt bath if there is fungus present. What are your tank parameters and temperature? I can also see they are on sand, which can cause impaction on axolotls smaller than 5 inches.
Some axolotls like to float but if it struggles to get down to the bottom it could be gas.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
