My newt will not eat and is dying, I noticed there is a spot on his mouth/nose that is white? I have another newt in the tank with him and I am afraid that the dying newt has a disease. Is this a sign of an illness?
Thank you!

Firebelly newts are often imported in terrible conditions. The white spot is probably a necrotizing bacteria. Since your newt already has 'the shine', I really would consider euthanizing it.
