Slower Smellaware!
This has got to be the first time I have a snail problem. Well its not even a problem at all really.

Arent these things supposed to lay eggs?

Like really now. I went to my buddies house the yesterday that has a nice size pond and pulled a few snails out for the heck of it. I put them in a tank I am trying to keep cycled for fish until the fish are ready to be put in ( they are still tiny little fry ),

This was yesterday and now already today I have small snails in my tank everywhere! They arent even that small which adds to more strangeness! The snails I picked up are some what big to be honest but this was only yesterday! Even if they had laid eggs yesterday why would they have hatched and gronw so quickly, its not possible!

Please fill me in here:sick:

Hey,

there is a lot of species that give birth to young snails.
For example very popular Melanoides tuberculata.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
