I've just put some live plants into my currently empty (for cycle), new aquarium.
I then noticed as I was wiping the glass a small snail inside the tank.
At first I thought I'd just leave it but upon quick research I found that they can be pests and nearly impossible to get rid of. I quickly took the snail out and made sure there weren't anymore. After searching for fifteen minutes I found about 8 small snails.
Will everything be okay if theres still a couple in there and is there anything I can do to stop an infestation before I put my axolotl in there?
I think they are pond snails as they look like this
I will appreciate any help on the matter!
