Hey folks thats for having me. Ive been raising salamamders for many years, butt received my first axolotls a few months and im hooked again, i have dirty lucys, a golden albino, two wilds, a mel and a copper. But i also enjoy wild herping and hatched mass of spotted salamander eggs at the end if march. I have about 50, from and inch to 1.5” long. Getting fat off blackworms. Also have access to bigger marbled salamander larve too are beginning to morph. Also many ither streams types like 2 lined a red salamanders. Alao have many eastern newts around. So im just hear to learn something from people that know more than i. Im also looking for some tiger salamander larvae. If anyone has some let me know! Thanks again.
Erik

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
