I am 16 from Oahu in Hawaii. I have two axies, one leucistic and one grey. Leucistic is almost sexually mature while grey is a few months younger and a few inches smaller. I love animals! I have started housing freshwater fish at the beginning of this year and have about 25 fish in so far. I have many fish tanks. I have a one year old female african sulcata tortoise, a 16 year old grey chinchilla, a very old cat and a new born kitten. I am also a betta breeder. If you're wondering how a high school student has any time to run this zoo, I am home schooled and will be graduating soon so I have lots of time to devote to my passion of taking care of my loves.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
