As promised here are some egg spawns.

The first picture is one spawn from about 10 days ago. As you can see they have started to change to a more oval shape.
The second and third picture of one tiny spawn and one massive spawn around 150 eggs! compared to 11! are about 3 days old.

I will start taking pictures of them everyday so we can track there progress.

Everytime i check on these guys there doing there little breeding dance ill take a pic/video of the action next time for you guys!

Are those eggs from the eastern newts?I had thought they lay the eggs in plants and cover them individually. Those look like Ambystoma eggs.I have seen that mating dance a few times,it's very cool.

i guess there not eastern newts maybe spotted or jefferson salamanders guess we will just have to wait and find out.

Ok so here is an actual noto egg sorry about the confusion. Day 1. Day 2.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
