Can I recommend Molly Varga at CheshirePet in Holmes Chapel?
She is 1 of only 4 vets in the UK to hold a diploma in exotic animal medicine and was the first and only vet I went to with my first axolotl before "he" passed away, my snake has also been for a check up with her when he was off his food last year. I definitely recommend
Amanda Grant and Susan Kelleher Broward Avian and Exotic Animal Hospital 1730 N University Ave Coral Springs 33071 954-968-7171 For anyone in Broward county, FL. I take all of my exotics to them and they are amazing! |

Luckily I haven't had cause to see this vet with my axis/caecillians yet, but I took a gecko to her last week and she was very knowledgeable and has treated quite a few axolotls. Thought it was a worth a post for any fellow Yorkshire herpers just in case you are struggling to find anyone, particularly in the Halifax (UK) area.
Hopefully I won't have cause to visit her with the wriggly ones, but if I do I will drop some more feedback in. Plan a long visit, she is wonderful and fascinating - and loves to talk! Johanna Storm/Hipperholme |

thank you for posting this - it literally SAVED my sick axie...turns out there was a herp vet within 15 minutes from my home on here and they were even open today...my axie swallowed a large stone and couldn't pass it ..... she had prolapsed as well and hadn't eaten in weeks...she hasn't eaten before, but when I finally saw her bottom side I knew she was in trouble. for now, I hope we got to her in time...she is home and now has to recoup. but without this, I don't think she would have made it.
LOVE this site....thank you!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I recommend my local exotics vets:
Trinity vet centre next door to Maidstone hospital (Kent UK) They specialise in small animals and exotics of all kinds - amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, as well as the regular cats, dogs and bunnies. There are 3 highly experienced exotic vets there, they train vets too, and their prices are reasonable. I called at lunchtime, got an appointment for 4pm, it cost me £45 for a consultation and medication - and a free lesson in how to inject the medication.
