Hey there,

I think my axie Banda has fungus on her gills, there is white patchest on the stems
of Bandas' gills and white dots on the reddish filaments.
As for Bandas' filaments they arent a nice viberant red moreof a purpleybrown and look
shabby

Should I salt bath her just in case?

Okay i had a similar problem... read my thread here...it should help ;) http://www.caudata.org/forum/showthread.php?t=48418
Brush the gill with a cotton wool bud and see if it flakes off....if it doesnt then its not funh=gus and it may be a natural marking...like mines got. If it does flake then gkive it a salt bath...twice a day

Nothing appeared to be flaking off,but it still looks quite fluffy.
I might just keep an eye on it

Could you tell me if my axie has fungus had my water tested said everything was fine bur someone said he has fungus his pigment hasnt changed since i got him and what type is he if hes wild type is this a usual pgment for a wild type

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
