Hi everyone..
Ive always wanted an axolotl and after having various salamanders, newts and fish species, Im very confident ill be able to care for these interesting creatures.
My friend has gone away for 2 weeks and im babysitting her Axies and their eggs.
The eggs started hatching two days ago and the larvae are really active and look pretty healthy but about 3/4 of them have this light green tinge to them especially on their belly area. Is there something wrong with them?

Ive heard about GFP axolotls, But when i called the pet store and asked they said GFP axolotls are not available here in Australia.

I did take some photos of these guys but i cant figure out how to upload them...
Does anyone know what this could be?
--thanks

What colour are the babies? You can upload pics using the 'attach files' button underneath the text box when you reply.

But the pet shop is right, they can't be GFP in Australia.

Hi! Thank you for replying.
There are what i can identify as Wildtypes, Leucistics and Some gold ones. Some are darker than others though...
Sorry for the potato quality of the photos my phone finds it hard to focus on them, im guessing because they are small...

Update, None have died so far and they are all eating some newly hatched BBS...
They are still green though... Anyone know why?

Strange enough... They do look GFP. Any more recent pictures?
The green does appear isolated to bellies though. Were your brine shrimp fortified with spirolina? Or from green water?
