Just got this axis and it's tailis a little bent at the end it'd it considered curled? 20180502_223218.jpg

Yup! that's a curled tail. if you say you just got her then it could mean she is stressed from the move. let her settle in for a few days and make sure her water is clean. if it doesn't change then it could be something else.

Thanks! This morning it looks a lot better trailis only slightly bent not as much as it was originally.

Would you allow me to use this picture on my website as an example of stress-related tail curling?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
