well i dosed for a 4th week. doing only about 40% water change most weeks. so im not exactly following the directions.

cant tell if it is working. some anchors are still attached. but i havent seen new ones emerge for weeks now. could be that the water temps are too cold for the anchors to mature fast enough too though

i just wanted to update this

the treatment i used works! axies safe i assume since my axies are alive and hungry

not sure how many doses i ended up using... but it works. i dosed maybe 5-6 times before giving up. a few weeks later they were anchor free

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
