ditto on the have you tried some earthworms. If so, what species? Perhaps if they're red wrigglers he doesn't like the taste or smell. European nightcrawlers, on the other hand, should give off an offensive odour/taste.

Try putting him in the water and dropping the food near his head.

Being cold blooded they can go awhile without eating.

Make sure you are keeping the habitat moist enough.

If the live food doesn't work. Newt pellets sometimes do for morphed neonates.
They tend to be picky eaters until they adjust to the morph

Don't worry too much, axolotls often loose their appetite during and just after morphing, mine didn't eat for four weeks, I think it was growing teeth! I was getting quite panicky.

To quote from a protocol by a leading research organisation "Axolotls often stop eating when in the throes of metamorphosis; this is normal."

Mine eats earthworms, it eats less than the aquatic ones, twice a week feeds are enough.

Try feeding the morphed axolotl by dragging the food past the side of its head, my morphed A.andersoni was unable to grab food placed directly in front of it for a couple of months but would take food placed to the side of the head .
