I just got back from getting my first ever Axolotl, and by the looks of it, the people I got him from didn't do a good job of taking care of him. He's about 2-4 months old and isn't even an inch long let. His gills have no fluff, and he's white as a ghost. He hasn't moved at all since I put him in the new tank, and his mouth is hanging open ever so slightly. The people at the pet store said he was on a diet of frozen bloodworm cubes only, once a day, and they kept the tank cool by floating frozen water bottles in the tank. He's so so little, and I'm thinging I should lower the water level so he can swim up for air easier but I don't want to stress him out more than I need to! His tail is already curled. I covered the tank with a towel so it would be a little darker for him. I'd send a picture, but I can't figure out how... If any of you can help me, please reply!

I"m sorry you lost your little baby. I"m sorry no one posted anything to help you. It probably wouldn't have helped in time. When they are bad off like that it's hard to bring them back. When you're ready I hope you will try again and get a healthier start.
