Recently a few of my tadpoles grew into froglets, very small, maybe just a little bit bigger than my fingernail.

I'm still not sure on what species they are, but they are grey-ish with horizontal pupils.

Im not sure what to feed them since they are so small. I plan to release them soon, and want to atleast have a shot at filling their bellies with proper frog food before going into the wild.

I've heard of feeding them aphids, is this alright for them?

thanks in advance

You can offer them springtails (Collembula) but if you have access to aphids you can also offer them.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
