I've acquired 4 previously unknown newts and believe them to be Notophthalmus Viridescens Viridescens (Red Efts).
They've been captive kept on melanogaster fruit flies and 1mm meal worms for 6 months. History suggests they were possibly rescued from a pool around Buffalo, but could be from just about anywhere by the knowledge of the previous keeper (11yr old boy who received them from a visiting uncle).
Can anyone confirm my identification? Thanks!
