I haven't had any lotls for a couple of years, and now I have some eggs that are developing nicely.

I'm so excited I had to share :)

Congrats. :D Hope to see some pics as the little ones progress!

So I had 20 eggs and still have 20 babies they are 12 days old and doing really well, I don't seem to get and good pics of them yet :( They all seem to be varying degrees of golden.

I have 1 with a red eye too. I don't just mean albino (they all are) I mean proper red - any ideas

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
