I was wondering how often should i clean my frog moss or change it. same with my eco earth.

I have the same frog as you and iI've had him for abot a month now and when ever I see poop I just take the poop out, simple as that and I also use eco-earth and frog moss.

yea but i just wanted no mold starts to grow.

Wolf I don't change out my Eco-earth I just add a fresh layer every 4-6 weeks and it will decompose under the new layer and eventually turn into new compost/dirt. One of my oldest terrestrial tanks is 4 years old and my substrate level is now about 5 inches thick, but I don now have live plants thriving in it from all of the old fecal matter that turned into organic fertilizer! As far as the frog moss I rinse mine out every 4-6 weeks as well when I add a new substrate layer. This helps remove fecal material and I get a longer life out of it, however I would replace it fully at least 3 times a year as it will start to decompose and may have a rotten vegetable smell sometimes like rotten eggs after three months even when you rinse it out once a month.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
