Came back from holiday on Saturday and found my 2 year old had white fuzzy bits on his gills and under his front legs and he hadn't been eating.
This disappeared on its own by Sunday and he ate fine.
Yesterday morning woke to find he had it again...slightly worse this time and now the tip of his tail was the same. By night time it had gotten a lot worse and he was floating at the top of his tank.
He could sink to the bottom and stay there on his own though. No interest in food again.
Spoke to emergency line for an exotic vet specialist who didn't really have a clue and want the her charge me an extortionate amount for what may...they admitted...end up with them on Google just like I was.
Does he need fridging? Salt baths? He's never been sick before and he's my first one so no idea what to do. Got water dechlorinating ready to chill and am going out for a suitable tub and fridge thermometer early this morning just in case. Also going to do a water change.
Photos are from various times throughout the day yesterday.
Please help, don't want him to die!
