My cousin and I are staying in Tennessee for a couple weeks and found a couple frogs (toads?) and setup this terrarium with potting soil as substrate and some wood for hiding. It also has a couple rocks for sitting. Please help us identify them. We are in East Tennessee and found me sitting in the wet Moss this afternoon. Any helpful info would be great! Theyre so cute:p

Definitely a baby toad, either Anaxyrus fowleri (Fowler's Toad) or Anaxyrus americanus (American Toad). Hard to tell when they are that small but I'd guess Fowler's. Your set up looks good, they will eat pretty much any insects smaller then their heads. Woodlice and worms are both good, easily caught staple foods. If you plan on keeping them for longer term a bigger tank will be necessary. If you plan on releasing them back where you found them best bet would be some wild foods to avoid introducing any pathogens.

Thanks for the info! We are going to release them before we leave, so Im not gonna make another tank. Our basement is full of all sorts of crickets. Would a small cricket work as a meal?

Small crickets would be fine, if its smaller than their head a toad will eat it.
