Hi! Depending where you are located they do have axolotls for sale at certain stores. If you are in Ontario Big Al's has some. You can occasionally find some at Pets Unlimited. The best place though would be on the forums here,
A few people have some eggs and are waiting for them to grow so keep checking the sale section.
Lol i got mine from big als in hamilton but its a wild type if i went like 2 days earlier i coulda got a leucistic btw 1 got 2 and its been about 2 months btw anyone know if they sell true axolotls there? or just tiger salamander larvae?
1 Axolotl................................$30each 2 or more axolotls..................$25each 4 or more axolotls..................$20each (plus a free carrie home container will hold up to 6 with no problem)
Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation
Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
