Hey guys!

I was just feeding Afish and I noticed that she was still working on a worm I gave her like 5 minutes ago. I looked a little closer and it was hanging out of the side of her face over by her gills and she couldn't seem to pull it in. I got really worried because it looked like it might be sticking out of a hole in her cheek or something, but it's never been an issue before. I wanted to know if it is just some normal anatomy and it got caught in a corner or if we might have a problem on our hands? I didn't get a picture, but I did manage to pull the worm out.
Any advice??

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
