My favorite thing about African Clawed frogs is that they only seem to care about food! They don’t care what it is or where it’s from, as long as they can fit it in their mouth. Froggo here will even take food from my fingers, sticking his head out of the water to get it. I have even had my finger tips nipped on occasion. Here he is smushing as many bloodworms as he can in his mouth. The first pic is of him trying to get the whole tablet in his mouth and the second is his enjoying his success.

Is anyone else getting flashbacks to Princess Mononoke, with all the worms sticking out the animals' faces? :O

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
