Hi all I need some advice about substrate
I'm about to set up a new tank (bigger) and i was going to use fine sand as a substrate. I don't like it when my axi swallows sand and someone suggested having a layer of sand "glued" to the bottom using aquarium sealant . I like the idea to help keep the tank clean but does an axi "scrape" his belly when he walks ie would this cause any problems for my axi.

Thanks for the reply
I've had a tank with no substrate but I didn't like the way it looked and I always thought my guy struggled walking on it
With the bigger tank I was going to add loads of hiding places and fake plants but I was thinking of 'gluing' plants and caves into place
