Ok i have a 5 litre container thats full of mealworms and off feces LOL. the problem is theres beetles, baby mealworms and fully grown mealworms all through it. I was wondering if theres something that attracts them so i can get them all into a corner and scoop them all up so i can put them in a new clean container?

Use a screen to sift the waste out, should leave all but the smallest worms on screen. place your waste aside for a few days to see if babies are present. if not discard.

I feed apples slices to attract them all to one spot. Use them in the leftover bran to collect the tiny ones that got through the screen

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
