I have a worry about my friend's axolotl. She sent me some pictures and asked my help but I have never had to deal with this kind of a problem. All i knew to suggest and try is to fridge.
Her adult male axolotl has swollen neck and throat.
He´s about 30cm long and 5 years old.
Refrigeration treatment have made some improvement (in 2 weeks time) but still not enough in my mind.
I'm particularly worried about veins under the throat. Throat is really bloated.
He also has some dark spots under belly and tail, that were not there some time ago. The other axolotls are fine. She feeds them 2-3 times a week. The male axolotl hasn´t been eating (offered) the whole time in fridge and hasn´t pooped also the same time.
Is there some better treatment than fridge?
