I've been helped by this site quite a bit, and figured I'd join and post some ambystomid pics in the appropriate section. I caught this Ambystomata texanum (smallmouth) as a larvae in our small pond this spring, at about 1/2 inch, and raised it on insect larvae and small worms. It's now about 2.5 inches long, and eats like a pig for such a small mouth. I've also got two tigers I got from a bait shop in Nebraska as larvae, which are about a foot long each. I'll post more pics of tanks and setup in future. I had a tiger salamander I caught as an adult when we lived in Nebraska, and kept it for 8 years.
