Hey guys, ive got an axolotl, and she's severely constipated, i need to put her in the fridge however I'm having problems because i cant control the temp in our fridge, the dial is numbered not in degrees, and at its highest its only at 4 degrees, she hasn't eaten properly in 2 weeks and she hasn't pooped in about 3 weeks, or more. I'm trying not to feed her because it will clog her up more however starving her won't help either. I've read the temp needs to be above 5-8 degrees, is 4 degrees to cold????
please help with advice, I'm worried she's going to explode or something, shes miserable and i feel awful because I'm unsure how to fix this, please please help, thanks!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
