Hi everyone,

I wanted to get some comments or critiques on Floyd's new arrangement. The rocks are all gone and in its' place is some good ol' Tahitian Moon sand. I put a new hiding spot in for him and hopefully everything is tip-top shape. What does everyone think?

Floyd's colors stand out greatly amongst the sand! It is a very nice set-up!

Looks great! I have a clear bottom tank at the moment - but if I could get my hands on some of that black sand i'd definitely use it in my setup!!
Beautiful Axie to

Floyd seems to like it! He's even smiling in the second pic, which is adorable!

that sand make you axie stand out heaps! GREAT set up by the way

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
