Hello to everybody,

(This is not a book review). I inform you about the publication of a collection of 55 interviews to herpetologists from all over the world. The book title is "A Life for Reptiles and Amphibians" and the subtitle is "How to Become a Herpetologist". Here you've got more information and the possibility to order the book: Chimaira Buchhandels GmbH - A Life for Reptiles and Amphibians. Volume 1. A collection of 55 interviews on «How to become a Herpetologist» A Life for Reptiles and Amphibians. Volume 1. A collection of 55 interviews on «How to become a Herpetologist»

I've conceived this book when I was 16 years old and wanted to be a herpetologist. With time, I've taken other pathways, but this book is first of all addressed to young high school and university students who ask themselves which is the best way to become a biologist specialized in reptiles and/or amphibians.

Among the famous personalities, there is the face of Animal Planet and Discovery Channel, Mark O'Shea. Sadly Terri Irwin hasn't participated to the book, even if at the beginning it seemed she was going to. I hope to convince her for the second volume of this series, in which with my editor we hope to include more women.

As for the caudata specialists, we have the British Richard Griffiths, the American David Wake and the Japanese Masafumi Matsui.

The book is also prefaced and supported by Russell Mittermeier and Conservation International (Home - Conservation International).

Feel free to ask me any question, both here or through e-mail: fabrizio_livigni @ hotmail.com.

Thank you for your attention and have a nice reading,
Fabrizio Li Vigni.
