I have a younger tiger salamander who up until yesterday ate voraciously as most tigers do. Yesterday was feeding day and she stayed buried instead of coming out to be fed. Today she is still buried and I'm a bit worried about her skipping on feeding. Also yesterday I noticed mold on top of some areas of the substrate (eco earth) I cleaned this up and plan to let it dry out a bit. Could she be sick? If so what should I do for her? Should I disturb her or just wait until she comes out for food?

She could just be shedding? My tiger Salaman likes to bury herself to shed. But if she isn’t out in the next few days, maybe dig her up and check to make sure she doesn’t look sick.
