I was sold this axolotl as just an “albino” and I’m not sure if it’s just a white albino or if it will become a golden albino. I’m starting to lean towards golden, I also think that it has some iridiphobes (I think that’s what it’s called?) under its tummy. I just want your advice. It was sold to me from a shop that clearly has little knowledge as he was sold to me sick and very small (I’ve had him for over 2 weeks and this is the size of him)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
