Where to buy Axie Pellets & more?

I've been feeding my axie a plain diet of worms and I think that isn't enough for him.
None of the pet stores near my area have even heard of Axolotls, so I can't go buy them locally...

Any tips on how many pellets I should feed them (or if I should just keep them in a dish at the bottom of the tank) graciously accepted. :)

The best pellet for axies are Rangen soft moist salmon pellets. (They are made FOR salmon, not FROM salmon.) In the USA, they are available from (1) Michael Shrom, (2) AGSC (3) Ed's Fly Meat.

Like with feeding pet fish, it's best to feed them as much as they will eat in a few minutes of time, then remove all uneaten food from the tank. With a bit of experience, you'll learn the right amount to add and spend less time on removal:happy: Don't leave food in the tank, ever, unless it's live food.

I feed my axie half a cube of discus food every other day but this was just because the pet shop had no frozen beef heart at the time.I do have some pellets ( they are actualy called axolotl food) but my axolotl either does not like them or is just dumb. so therefore i personaly use the frozen discus or beef heart.

please if anyone dissaggres then feel free to comment as everyone has a opinion.

Brad,

Why not just feed live earthworms and blackworms? Discus food or beef heart certainly are not suitable as staple diets. At best, they are ok as occasional treats.

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
