Hi, I am looking into using amphibian pellets instead of trout pellets for my A.mexicanum, A.andersoni, P.waltl and X.laevis. I generally use as much live food as I can with the bulk of their diet being composed of earthworms with roaches, pachnoda grubs, feeder fish , shrimp and young axolotl making up the rest in addition to the inverts which I encourage to colonize the tanks. Unfortunately my home grown or collected worm supply is running short and I need to find an alternate food source asap. Are there benefits to using the specialist amphibian pellets over trout pellets ? The products I have been looking at are Xenopus Express Products - Xenopus Suppliers (the pellets are halfway down the page) and Pollywog Amphibian Pellets Thanks. Ian.
