Hi all,

on the first one is a male doing quite a risky business
side shots of the animals
and the last shot is about how the previous ones were taken

Very nice pictures. And very intelligent way of getting good shots.
I particularly like the fourth one, that male looks great.
btw, great looking Natrix natrix. Always loved that species :)

I know our Natricine snakes over here are obligate amphib eaters. Does that hold true across 'the big pond'?

Hi Juraj, how did that pond you dug out several month back work out? Did the animals populate it naturally, or did you assist in any way? What's in it, if anything? Any pics of it? Thanks and take care.

There´s been record of Natrix maura eating salamandra salamandra (and that´s the most poisonous one i can think of). I would say though that the Natrix genus mostly preys on fish and tadpoles.
I would love to hear from that pond too Juraj, update us all hehe.

very nice, we don't see many pictures of montadoni, especially since i have a particular soft spot for them!
