Default Sand safe to use? Kolorscape Play Sand?

The sand is called Kolorscape play sand and contains silica. Some say it contains calcium carbonite.I did a fizz test and it did not fizz. Is this sand safe to use for axolotls?

Play sand is one of the safest sands to use in axolotl tanks, so I would assume it wouldn't make much difference what brand you use. I do wonder, though, if you're getting some unnatural color of sand? I don't think it would matter much if it was, because you need to wash the sand thoroughly before you put it in the tank anyway.

It bubled a little when doing the vinegar test is this ok? Some people say it's aragonite based sand or silica based sand Click image for larger version

I honestly don't know much about sand other than that you're not supposed to use sand with calcium in it. If I'm not mistaken, I believe most sand used in axolotl tanks is silica based(?).
