Hi,
My tank is 60cm long x 35cm wide x 60cm height. So 126 Litres. Is this big enough for 2 adult axolotls?

In inches and gallons that is 24" long x 14" wide x 24" height. 33 US Gallons.

Yes, I would consider a 33 gallon to be large enough for two adult axolotls. Lots of people keep 2 axolotls in a 20 gallon. Although I think that is a bit cramped to keep 2 axolotls in a 20 gallon, they can live fine in one.

I believe the requirements are 2 foot long for one axolotl and an extra foot for each one added after that. I may be wrong though, but have read that in several places.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
