So many cool axie pics! I would NOT want to have to judge this thing.

Good luck everyone, I can't wait to see the final product!

Does anyone know when judging will be finished? I am stupidly impatient to see the final product and add it to my christmas list! :D

Hang in there Star the comp last year finished on the same date as this years and the winners were announced the day the calendar went on sale on December 8th so I suspect you have a couple more weeks of waiting ahead of you ;)

Perfectly happy to be wrong of course, I want to see it too!

Hi Kasey, unfortunately the calendar competition has closed for this year and most of the votes have already been cast. Please do enter next year though!

Once the final votes are in we'll announce the winners, hopefully next week.

Hi Kasey

Those pics of muddy are seriously cute!! Shame that you couldn't get them in the competition in time. :(

One more thing, pleeeasee remove the gravel from Muddy's enclosure as he/she could swallow it and become impacted. Just warning you as Muddy is such a cute little thing and I wouldn't want anything to happen to him/her.

Yes there will!

I'll get it underway in the next week or so.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
