I have an axolotl that was produced about 4 months ago whose parents are a golden albino and a melanoid. He's always been very light almost like a spotted leucistic. He has a sort of glaze over him and rather than a gold ring he has a silver ring. I'll attach some photos of him as a hatchling and of him now for reference.if anyone has any information on hypos that would be greatly appreciated as I can't find much. I've talked to a few breeders and they think it's possible but I would like more opinions

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
