How much influence do eggs have on water quality?
In my fully planted aquarium there are a large number of fertilized eggs that I have not removed to prevent disruption as much as possible. It involves about 100-150 eggs. Normally only nightly and in the early morning my Ambystoma andersoni are breathing regularly on the surface. During the day they stay down at the bottom most of the time. Now that there are eggs that are developing, it seems that the oxygen level has decreased. This is shown by the fact that the salamanders now breathe very regularly on the surface. They also remain in the top layer for a longer period of time than normal. The Ph has not changed Ph = 7.1. What is known about the influence of eggs on water quality? Do you have experience with this? share it.
