I love seeing these guys! I have some of similar size right now as well. But mine seem to be growing slower than your for some reason, even though I feed them enough and their first winter was warmer ( which is supposed to help in growth rate ).

Looking good! -Seth

Beautiful, it looks like they're back to 100% health wise! In the photo it looks like he's about to grab a worm, did you have to bribe him for the pictures? :)

They are still quite small Seth, maybe 3''. I have them on my kitchen window ledge, though they will soon be moved into my shed. I was worried about them over wintering there, but as it happens we have had a ridiculously mild winter :/ They are fed white worm, small woodlice and earthworm.
I bribe with worms :) I open up their lid and usually at least one appears looking hopeful :)

Having purchased a new camera, these little guys were the first to be photographed . The first one on land had to be uncovered to find, whilst the other was lurking in the water waiting for the worm fairy to appear .

As these two are spending more time in water I decided to swap them to a more aquatic set up. While doing this I took a few photo's of them.

Wow, they look fantastic, I can see where they get their name, now. Have you any idea what sex they are yet?

I think I do have both sexes :) Body shapes are different and there may be a difference in cloaca ... but they wriggle so much I was a tad worried about stressing them so couldn't look too clearly.

Wow, I still can't believe how fast yours are growing compared to mine. Either your doing something right, or it's just because mine are WC.

I agree, they look like male and female ( the male would be the one in the first picture ).
If they are, will you give them a go at breeding? -Seth

I could be wrong, but judging by those photos they both look like males. The tail length and leg length are what I am going by. But then again these aren't mature yet so it is hard to say. Plus it is difficult to tell from the angle of those photos.

Lately, every time I feed them I have come back to this shananigans...one of them is getting a tad annoyed by the excessive attention.

Maybe it would be best to separate them or put in a divider for a while to give her(?) a break? You never know, maybe a period of separation will help with breeding when the time comes?

These two seem to have had a growth spurt, so today they were upgraded to a larger home. Therefor a few photo's were taken .

I don't know for sure still as they may still be too young.
There is a difference in shape of their bodies and cloaca still... but I wouldn't be too surprised if they are the same sex. Having lost so many from the group, it would be too good to be true if they are a pair :)
