So this morning i noticed that my tiger salamander Jaku and a lot of black spots on his face that were not there yesterday. I cant afford to take it to the vet so i did some research. From what research ive done ive quarantined him from his usual environment. I plan on starting a antibiotic regiment of 125mg of ciprofloxacin in 1 liter of water for an hr a day and by putting silver sulfadiazine cream on the spots for 10-14 days (based on the research ive done). Any recommendations for adjustments to the antibiotic dose or overall regiment?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
