why cant i repond to livestock posts i have 5 posts and still cant access it?

That section of the forum is moderated. Your posts have to be approved.

Yep it's what I learned the other day.

Out of interest, are you selling or looking or an animal?

wanted to reply to the whites for sale but says i cant even post in that section?

I found the best solution is to send the seller a private message.

thanks for the reply i managed to do this, but i just cant get my head around having a section thats so hard to use?

It's not particularly complicated. All posts are moderated and the 5 post rule is there to try to encourage new users to participate in the community before using the for sale section.

You'd be surprised at the number of people who don't contribute, don't donate, but still want to use the site for trading livestock. The primary aim of the site is sharing information - not a shop.

ok then so why put it on the forum i had 5 posts and still could'nt post in it.

looks like i can now post but needs modding before its showed up.

cheers

The 5 post rule is relatively new but became necessary. As it says quite clearly when you try to post in the advertisement section, if you have less than 5 posts it will not allow you to post there. Also, there is a delay after you make your fifth post before the system automatically opens the door for you to post in the advert section (which is good because it stops people posting 5 useless posts in a hurry just to get access to the advert section).

Unrelated to this 5 post rule, we moderate all posts to the advertisement section because we have strict rules about what can be sold on this site (no wild-caught animals can be sold, just given away or traded) and by whom (no commercial vendors).

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
