Lightbulb Anti-escape technique discovered

like everyone else who owned the escape artists known as fire belly newts, i've witnessed a few successful and scary escapes. But I've found something so cheap and easy to use to keep our babies where they are safe.

Use duct tape to go around the top of the tank. just a single strip around the edge, so that tape sticks out toward the center a couple of inches. make sure you go over any airline tubes or cords. The newts cannot get over the ledge it creates. Works great even in shallow open tanks. Sweet eh?
