Hi, I have been keeping newts for the past several years. Primarily Triturus, danube. Ive used the threads to help with husbandry and ideas on terrariums.

I also keep several salamanders. Long-tailed and dusky.

I am in search of neurergus kaiseri, or crocatus and was curious if anyone knew where to post for searching for searching them or knew any breeders. I am in Arizona and would loveto start a colony. I prefer kaiseri and I'm willing to spend whatever necessary. I know all husbandry but am always willing to hear more advice!

Thank you in advance!

Hello,
welcome to the forum. This is an introduction area, not an ad posting area. We have an ad section that is available to you once you become a contributing member. However as a new member, you can still read and answer the ads. We are primarily an educational site, so we prefer to have new members participate in the learning/ teaching process before using the site as a marketplace. There are guidelines you can read in the ad section. Thank you for your understanding.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
