Meal Worms

Well I am new. When I owned a Red clawed Crab, it never attacked anything. Actually it was never seen. All it did was hide. I had it in a tank with 3 goldfish and a pleco. I dunno, maybe crayfish and small crabs are different.
Would a red clawed crab be bad for a Axie

Welcome Justen - generally the best situation is axolotls living alone or with other axolotls.

Red clawed crabs are pretty strong they could easily damage an axolotl. They also vary in their aggressiveness. I wouldn't risk it.

Tadpoles (especially wild-caught) can be vectors for disease and should probably not be fed to your axolotls.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
